I worked in the City before joining the Metropolitan Police where I was a detective for over 12 years. I then decided to change career to fit in with my family commitments so started Childminding over 9 years ago.

My police background equipped me with exceptional observation skills and a calm approach to challenges. After achieving Ofsted 'Outstanding' status, I've created a nurturing environment where children feel safe to explore and develop.

I understand the balance working parents maintain, which helps me build strong relationships with families. I'm passionate about outdoor learning and incorporate clear boundaries and consistent routines. My greatest joy comes from witnessing children's confidence grow during their time with me.

As an Ofsted 'Outstanding' childminder for nearly 40 years, I've created a nurturing environment where children thrive. After retail experience in London and working in a nursery, I found my true calling. Having raised three children (now blessing me with grandchildren and a great-grandchild), I bring both professional expertise and personal understanding to my role.

I'm passionate about helping children discover their potential through play and exploration, with crafting being a special part of our days together. My greatest reward is seeing children develop confidence, curiosity, and a love of learning during their time with me..

Emma Janes

After working in financial services and construction for over 20 years, I fully understand the challenges of juggling work commitments and raising a family. I gained five years of experience at an 'Outstanding' Ofsted rated preschool, completing my Level 2 qualification in Early Years and learning skills like forest school teaching.

Having recently completed my Level 3 Childcare at Home qualification and registered with Ofsted as a Childminder, I'm excited to welcome children into my setting. I'm passionate about outdoor learning and believe children thrive while exploring nature, developing confidence and curiosity through hands-on experiences in the great outdoors!
